Wanda Gave Her Babies Everything. Now It's Her Turn.

Wanda gave her kittens everything she had, even when there was barely enough left for herself.

This sweet momma was found living beneath the porch of a home out in Sheridan County, where she had given birth to her kittens. The elderly man who lived there did his best to feed and care for the little family, but with winter approaching, he knew they needed more help than he could provide.

When Wanda arrived at Second Chance, she was completely exhausted. She slept for almost two days, finally safe enough to rest without worrying about protecting her babies.

She was also underweight, suffering from low calcium levels, and struggling with a cough. We started her on antibiotics, added calcium supplements to her meals, and began helping her rebuild the strength she had sacrificed to keep her kittens healthy.

And those kittens? They're thriving!

Wanda and her babies are now settled into our kitten room, where the little ones are busy creating chaos, exploring everything, and being ridiculously adorable. Wanda is finally getting the nutrition, medical care, and rest she desperately needed.

Now it's our turn to take care of the momma who gave her babies everything.

Your donation will help provide Wanda's medical treatment, supplements, nutritious food, and all the supplies needed to care for her growing family until they're ready for loving homes.

Wanda spent so long making sure her kittens had enough. Help us make sure she never has to go without again. ❤️
